Evil Eye and Buckman - Thanks for the pics! Even as a Buck employee, I have never seen a picture of one of these originals! I have been looking for a pic of one of these for some time now! Old timers here assure me that we did produce them, but I have yet to see one. Glad to see one! - Jim

PS - Evil Eye, where did you get the 650 with the bead blast blade? I love it!

The Cutlery Shoppe did not offer a set. Cabella's might have but I think some of the other knives other than the 119 were done for LL Bean and thus were isolated special projects. This is one of the many mystery situations I am still trying to unravel. All your input is welcome. No one that I know of has a lock on the history of Buck knives. We are all trying to find out what we can. Thanks for reminding me of the other models done in leather.

PS: I believe the Cutlery Shoppe 119s were packed in a black box of the era. That may be a way to tell the difference. The Cabella knives were probably in yellow boxes.

Many thanks on the value of my list. We all do what we can to figure out what the Buck history is. If you find out something be sure to mention it here and submit it to John for a tidbit for the BCCI newsletter.

I did a quick search and in 1991-92 we did about 1200 of those. Then in 1995we did close to 300 more. I am guessing that the ones in 1995 were for the second batch that Richard mentioned. Not a whole lot of them "out there" to be found.
Hope this helps.
