A small black bear like that one is ok with the 119, but, let's face it......a 120 has a bit of extra reach for the larger stuff.
I mean, it'll do if you can jump right on his back like this guy did, but few of us have such a talented bear dog with us and those claws are durn nasty when you face him from the other direction. You gotta get yourself a thick chunk of wood to jam down his throat when he comes for you, and he'll usually try to get it out
with his front paws and that's your cue to shove the 120 up through his throat and go all the way to the spinal cord.
If you're lucky, in the same move you can duck under his elbow and swing over onto his back, so if you didn't cut his spine with the first one you can continue to work on him away from those nasty claws, but you better be movin' fast.
That one's called the "Andy Russell" and he used to use it on bears up to Griz.
Remember, your mileage may beary.
I'd carry a couple of 119s fer spare back-up knives, and cleaning my fingernails, maybe.
