This is my first post. I bought a buck 120 knife and it has absolutely no markings on either side of the blade. Did buck ever make one without any markings or did I buy a fake buck knife? Thank you very much!

We need more details and photos. Sounds like a fake to me.

I’ll see if I can figure out how to post pictures.

Also new guy here but have been using knives for over 50 years, a lot of those Bucks and I have never seen one without markings, sorry. Pics will help as it's possible someone ground and polished off the markings.

I've never looked, so just don't know...are they making fake 120s?

Are there any markings on the underneath portion of the guard? I’ve seen a Buck (some sort of extremely rare model / variant I’m guessing) with the markings placed under the guard.

Other than that I have no clue.

You need to use a third party host.

More details like were you bought it from would help too. What kind of box. What kind of sheath. What you paid. Etc.

Or if possible just return it for a refund.

I'm thinking Buck would like to hear all about it too.

I’m going to get a hold of Buck knives tomorrow. I bought it without the sheath. It is used. Advertised as pre-1986. They were absolutely no mortgage that I can find.

I’ve taken pictures and tried to get a hold of admin to tell me how to post them but it says it sounds too much like spam it won’t let me contact the admin. Does anyone know how to post pictures?

i use Imgur. it’s free to use. I also have the option to directly upload here, as a paying member, but I usually stick to using imgur.

Just upload you photos to the imgur app, then click on the picture, select the share icon, copy link, and then come here and embed the images in a post here on this thread.

I remember years ago some similar looking blades that were in a certain catalog that looked similar to the 119 were made in Pakistan, dymondwood handles. Also similar to a large Bowie knife with brass S guard.

W Wvmtneer Too soon to get excited until we see what you have.
If you don't figure it out easily send the pictures to me in an email and I'll post it for you.
I messaged you on your profile with my email. /Roger

edit... contacting Buck is fine too but they are going to need a picture also.
I'll probably get Reeeeeed.. for this but the cumulative knowledge here is greater.... IMO
