Buck 120 knife

True it is not a Buck but I can understand it being confused for one. The black handle with the aluminum beak is iconic for Buck. Clearly the knife is modeled on the Buck 120 in dimension and style. It is not labeled Buck so no intention to deceive. Chosing an iconic knife to copy is actually a compliment to it's timeless styling. If the price was not onerous it could still be a good looking utility knife. Thank you W Wvmtneer for sharing it with us. Buy a real Buck knife and hang around. A lot of interesting people play here. /Roger

edit: I have seen some Japanese copies, Sharp (?) but not this one. Anyone have any idea about origin?

The OP says "he bought a Buck 120".

I hope the seller didn't lead him to believe that. That's not cool.

Either return it or beat it. It's not a bad looking knife.

Hopefully he can come up with a legitimate 120 and hang around and share it with us.

There's some nice folks here.

Welcome OP.

When I bought the knife the picture of it actually said buck 120 USA. I was going by the picture. The man I bought it off I told that this is not the same knife in the picture and I think it is a fake. He has agreed to take the knife back and give me my money back. Thank you everybody for the help on this website. It’s great to depend on people’s knowledge and not guessing on your own. Thank you also very much! God bless!

Wvmtneer - Glad you got this issue straightened out!

As for posting photos, I do not use a third party host when posting from a computer (don't know about posting from phone).

The photo will need to be resized first. There is an "attach files" link on the lower left of this posting area. You can select the photo from your computer using this link. Then click on "insert", then "full image". It should appear on your post.

I can also click and drag it to reply posting area, but I prefer the above method.

Hope you find some great knife help on this forum!

ya have to have a paid membership or use a 3rd party pic posting site. there are free ones out there...ill let others suggest the best free ones...as I use paid membership here myself.......
Take your photo and go to postimage.org. Upload the photo. You will have a choice as to what to do. I always choose Hotlink for Forums and paste the link in my post. When you submit your post the picture will be there. Simple.

G-96 was the brand, by Jet Corp or something I believe.
They had relatively close copies of about the whole 100 series, easy to spot with the bright red spacers.

I've heard they were supposed to be good knives and some people say they were better because " Japan had a better understanding of stainless steel back then ", but I call BS on that.
They seem to command similar pricing sometimes, but I know I wouldn't pay much.
