Did you say short sword?
That is the question - what sheath would Buck include with the longer blades ? Any pictures of the sheaths with the vintage extra large blades ?

The price was reasonable $1.00 per inch over stock..up to 15" long! I'm not sure you got a longer shieth for that upcharge. For a few years I wanted a Buck version of a Roman short sword if I had a time machine to go back to the Original Old Custom shop. I just noticed recently back in the 60's Buck had a Spa/Sharpening service..$1.75.

There WAS a Franklin mint type knife that was basically a 124 that was longer. 7 3/4" maybe? Buck sent around 5 sample blades and wacky handles were added. My Brother David bought one on Ebay for 40 Bucks or so just takinga chance because it looked like a Buck blade..Joe Houser made at least one Custom with one. To this day I keep a eye out for one. I wish I had a picture of the handle because it was truly strange looking lolol!
