buck 124

I think both sets are outstanding but, if I had to choose one only to keep, it would be the ironwood set.
Larry,
Even though I have the stag and cherry version of the 121, I agree with you that the ironwood series would be preferable. It looks more traditional. I'll go ahead and keep the stag and cherry 121 anyway! :D

Harold Klinkhamer is a BCCI member and a gun/knife dealer from Delphi, Indiana. He designed two different Buck fixed blade series and Buck built them for him on a special order basis.

Thanks Larry, your knowledge and willingness to share it is always appreciated. Preston

Hey ,Larry Oden,
Where can I hind your book? Barns & Noble?
Did you work at Buck?

Jeff,
I am not a Buck employee, just an avid collector. If you email me, I can give you information on the Blade's Guide.

I think the 124 is a trully great knife, and one of the best knives ever made. Why did Buck stop making it? Still want one, a pal at archery has one, but he won't sell!!

I managed to obtain an unused, boxed 124 from 1990 at a very reasonable price (£45 IIRC). Initially I got it as a little (!) piece of American knifemaking history, maybe to even trade on. But it's grown on me. I like it :)
