How much does buck want for the knife?
I heard the suggested retail was going to be around that price too. I spoke to our specials manager about it today and he told me it is only being offered in this configuration for 2012. It is supposed to be stamped with the 2012 date code which, as a collector, I like.
When they were developing this project, I supplied them with various old 124's, plus parts and pieces, so that it would be close to the originals from pre-early 80's. I havent been able to get close to one yet, but since our specials manager built some of those older 124's in your collections, I am confident that he got it right!![]()

the anvil has been over used for every LE and CS knife in recent years
Hi Two Bears,
124's hold their value very well. However, the condition and what you have to go with it will help the value go up. As you stated your knife is in used condition, do you have the correct sheath for the knife, do you still have the box, how about the paperwork that came with the knife? All of these things will help the value of your knife go up if you are in the market to sell it. Post a photo and someone will give a stab at putting a value tp your knife, also check on the auction sites like ebay.

One of these looks like brown micarta, is it brown micarta?

Yes. The 124 second from the top in the second picture's color is a reddish brown they call that Maroon Micarta.
