Buck 137 but not a Knife

Who knows the "Steelmaster", and is it a collectable tool or shall I simply use it?
I got it new in box.

There's one on fleabay right now for $50---if yours is pristine---I think I'd put it away as a collectable---I can see Buck freaks in the future going nuts over the odd and interesting.

If it has seen use---I'd go ahead and use it as intended.
