This knife is from my Father's estate. It was passed on to me after sitting in his garage in Florida.
The knife is in the condition that I received it. So it is dusty with a bit of grunge on it. It appears to have been lightly used.
It has the pins and compass but no box or paperwork. The handle compartment is empty.
To get an idea of the value I used Google's AI. I know that you can't always depend on AI for accurate answers.
If I am too high or too low with the price feel free to post your comments here. Serious comments only please.
I want to price it fair, but not give it away too cheaply either. So I am asking $600 plus US shipping.
If you want to purchase this just post "I'll take it" and I will mark it sold. I do not want to take a return on this so please review the photos closely before committing to buy.
The pictures are clear and larger than real life.
Then dm me your email address so I can send a paypal money request.
Payment within 24 hours thru Paypal goods and services.
This is what Google said about this knife in lightly used condition:
A lightly used
Buck 184 survival knife
without its original box or paperwork can be valued approximately between $500 and $850. The specific value within this range depends on the exact condition of the knife and the inclusion of its original sheath and accessories (anchor pins, compass).
Key Factors Affecting the Value
The absence of the original box and paperwork reduces the collector value compared to a complete, mint-condition specimen, which can exceed $1,000. The primary determinants for your knife's value are:

- Presence of the Original Sheath: The original heavy-duty plastic sheath is an essential part of the package. A knife without its original sheath will be worth significantly less.
- Accessories: The small survival kit (often sealed) that fits in the handle, the compass in the butt cap, and the two stainless anchor pins are important. A complete set of accessories adds value.
- Blade Condition: "Lightly used" typically means minor scuffs or signs of use but no heavy damage, rust, or significant sharpening that alters the blade profile.
