buck 186 ti in good condition

If this keeps up and the wife gets wind of it, I may see my collection being offered on ebay when I get home from work.

Yeah...I'm kine laying low since the Mrs is home with her new hip replacement.
She asked me about Decaf Dave's Damascus 110. She said, "and don't tell me your Bucks average $25 each. Remember, I ordered the two you got on your birthday three weeks ago, so I know better".

Well, I "tried" to lay low. But I am weak. A girlymahn.
Pray for me, I have a 188 and a 124 full tang coming in the mail. :o
I may need you down here packing heat Mike or your TNT to cut flowers for my grave.

Hello Mr. Porter,
Long time no email. I hope your doing well. Sorry about the turtle thing, at least I think that is what that was. I think they don't like links like that in part because after a while, this place would turn into an advertising forum.
I hope you hang out around here somemore, I could use some help on the 188 bayonet questions! :)

Hi Joe,

I've been lurking in the shadows here for about seven years now. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a great deal of interest around here in the two BEST blades Buck ever made; the 184 and the 188.

Perhaps a few pics in a dedicated thread would stir up some interest...especially among us n00bies who have no idea what they are... :)

The 184 is more commonly referred to as the Buckmaster and the 188 is my favorite of all; the M9 bayonet.

PICTURES!!! History; anecdotes; personal experiences...You know the BCCI is looking for a Few Good Articles... :D [apologies to Leonard Chapman]... :foot:

Here's a link to a couple of articles I wrote on M9 bayonets for the Society of American Bayonet Collectors (SABC) Journal:

Thank You! ;) Quite interesting...Did the Last Ditch M9 have a blood groove on the side opposite the saw teeth??? It looks like the start of one in the tang stamp closeup...Did all the M9's??? I've never seen one, and I don't see any other pics of that side...
