Buck 188

Geesh, this didn't go well.... don't move on quite yet... let's try again...
How about we all give each other a second chance... lots of nice knowledgeable people hang out here.....
Welcome to the Buck forum rjackson37.....

I was trying to help the guy to start with it wasn't nothing personal and all gedlicks did was show him where to find the info?? Look what we got for trying to help, kicked in the teeth!

I have had FRIENDLY dealings with Robert prior to this, I was only trying to let him know that he could get in trouble with what he was doing!! That's it!! If you read what was said, nowhere was I trying to enforce anything.

I will never try to help or advise anyone on anything on this forum again.

Well a number of things to talk about to try and make this forum a feel good spot for all.

Moderator = Job, I sure hope not. Common sense should rule the moderator world. They don't get paid, except for free access, and they are suppose to be present to keep things from getting really nasty. Some conflict is to be expected but we all should act like gentlepersons in those discussions. Some moderators in other forums are fast and sharp. So far on the Buck forum we have generally been slow and cautious. The only sharp is how to sharpen. You may get called on something but I try to make it a learning experience, if you can't handle a nudge in the right direction what's the problem. I do intend to let you have some freedom and if there is something you dislike please feel free to contact me by PM, as I will you if your membership allows PMs. Lets not air out laundry on the forum and do feel free to ask about buying, selling, cost etc on the PM. If you haven't paid for a membership that lets you do that your just out of luck.

Rules - There are written rules and there are forum group 'suggestions'. Helping out each other is great. In the case above , on bringing up old threads, it was stated as a rule but in reality it is a suggestion. As I have explained in the past, some folks won't read a thread that has a lot of posts and is brought forward from 10 years ago. New members have even asked questions of people who have passed away in that time period or who were one time posters and never returned. Research is great, but if you have a question let's put it in a thread with links to past but a 'today' question. Bringing up a short thread from the recent past should be OK but lets keep them current if possible. Talking about buying a knife from someone is against main forum rules. In the past we have mainly seen this with folks with just a few posts to there names.

If you wish to post off subject info or no knife photos please go to the stickies above and use the "The Anvil Shed" for those purposes. I hope folks will include a Buck knife in photos when possible. A outdoor scene, game and fish, garden photo or two is acceptable but try to put in a knife when possible. A knife on your hotrod or hog is OK when subject is that model knife.

Usually, when I have to do a little discussing it effectively kills the thread, lets not let this happen if there is more to talk about on this one. Thanks. 300Bucks, Buck Forum ONLY Moderator

This is the about as close as I can come to a bayonet. I usually am a bullet person till the final end.
