Buck 302 - will it come back?

I also am looking forward to see new 300 product line. I have no inside info.
For anyone who wants a single or double blade 300, you can take matters into your own hands if you can't wait.
You can find someone who takes apart and puts back together pocket knives and have a Custom 300 made. You can do it yourself but if you are not careful, I would recommend getting someone who has experience punching out and replacing pins. There is no trick to just removing the parts you don't want but setting and buffing out the pins takes some craftsmanship. Enough warning. Here are two; one I found the way it is and one I had someone customize it for me. 300

A old Camillus contract 321 with no gut hook. Boy, this thing slips easily into a sock when I use to wear cowboy boots.

A pair I had done, 301 and 303 with two blades, secondary blade was sheepsfoot slightly ground to a warcliff like point. You can put secondary blade on whatever end you want, other than this way the secondary blade nic will be covered by clip when closed.

Might as well look at the 302's. L to R Sawcut Valox, dymondwood rosewood with Chuck Buck signature, regular dymondwood and smooth yellow Valox.

Camillus is gone. So is Queen. So is Schrade (as a USA mfgr). Case OWNS the sub-$50 to $75 American trad folder market. Buck could get back in and at least have a chance, with those brands gone. Bear MGC certainly can’t seem to get it right, and good luck finding Utica’s in any significant numbers.

Just offer a few different colors, at first, for “stock” offerings. Allow lots of custom shop choices, though.

Bring back the 307, and produce a canoe pattern here in the USA.

I thought the Buck 301 and Buck 303 are still "current production" - there are hundreds of new ones in stock all over the place (gunshops, pawnshops, fishing shops, hardware stores, big box stores, on-line, etc.) OH

Does this mean you have no information on the new 301?

Are you expecting something other than a new date code for the current 301? I haven't heard of any great changes.

Bert
I don't know much of how Buck Knives does there 300 series but yes, I suppose there might be some changes. Certainly I think multi bladed slip joint knives have a place in this world today. Don't you?

I like some handle choices, a few more wouldn’t hurt but I hope they don’t do like Case and make it thousands of different colors, materials, patterns and finish and not putting enough effort into making a great blade. It is a knife and should be known for its ability to keep an edge not just a pretty handle and shiny metal to put on display. I know Case wants to satisfy the collectors but I just hope Buck keeps making them for hard use and keeping a good sharp edge.

Still waiting on 302's to resurface. I should of bought a spare one years ago.
