I'd take a peanut for edc, and maybe a 309 for dirty small work.
Visually I like the peanut especially with chestnut or red bone covers & carbon blades but for actual use I prefer my 309. The Buck slipjoints with their one piece bolster/liner setup are very tough too.
the best thing about case is the buttery-smooth and soft action brought about by carbon steel rubbing against brass, and the modest spring tension. it's a winning formula.
