Buck 315 Rigging knife

I have an ivory 315, an ivory 315 with blade etch but no scrimshaw, and a 315 with blade etch and the scrimshaw as shown on JB's picture.
I have never seen one with the scrimshaw as in Makael's pricture. I find that article very interesting.

First time I've heard of scrimshaw on Micarta, also the first time I've heard if the one owner lifetime warranty. Beautiful knives.

Although not a sailor, I used a rigging knife while in scouts for working with rope. Seems like two lifetimes ago.

Makael...Thanks for posting the add here as I only see it in Google books and didn't grab it in a screenshot. At the Blade Show in 2009 (?) I showed both Chuck and CJ the first 112 I had by her that was reported to have been bought in the Factory store..It rung no bells at all. I bet I have 25 hours and a dozen phone calls trying to find out who she was and more about her connection with Buck. Two years ago the second 112 of a raccoon showed up on Larry's list and I bought it. The price for the scrimed 315 at $99.00 even back in the 80's seems very reasonable...
