Buck 315 value and history sought.

Those two look nice, good job on the clean up. Now I need one of the ones with out bolsters.

Anyone know what steel was used on the 1986-88 model? The one without the 2 spring pins.

My brother gave one to me back in the mid-80's while he was at the Naval Academy.

I don't have and don't remember it coming with a sheath.

They go from about 50-275 new in box with papers. Most I have are bolstered. Few with serrated edge no bolster's.

I have over twenty in different versions. I love them.
Welcome to the Buck Forum!

It's usually best to start a new thread instead of resurrecting an old(this one's eleven years old). Also the rule is you can not discuss value without a 'gold' membership or higher. The big auction site is the best place to gather info on what an item's value is...check the completed listings.

The 315 has been the topic of other threads and I'm sure, if you found this one, you found others. Why not start a new thread and post pictures of yours and discuss what it is that you love about them? I just had one of mine re-handled and would join you on that thread.:)
