Buck 389

Probably so.... thats a lot of work....
What I manage to gather up gets hauled 300 miles to mothers house. Could gather it out there, but more time to do it leisurely here. Thank goodness for big splitters.
I still use wedges and 6lb. sledge does that qualify ? DM

A wonderful looking knife, as all of the Buck canoes are. That said, with it's 420J steel, it is doing what it should be doing. Cutting soft fruit in the kitchen. I'd keep it in the kitchen drawer. I'd have one if it had the minimal 420 HC steel. Got enough cheap Chinese made kitchen knives. Will use something a little better on the pocket knife than 420J convenience store knife steel. Ain't no steel snob, but in the words of Clint Eastwood, "A man has to know his limitations". Buck 420 HC and Case Tru Sharp are as low as I want to go on a knife that might have regular or even tough use.
