What are theses knives worth now days? Can't find any info on these anymore? Sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask in if so please direct me to the correct one. Thank you.

If you're talking the S30V top model 419 Folding Kalinga..........Great knife. Discontinued and too costly to be made again. If you have new in the box the sky is the limit.

You rarely see them on e-Bay anymore at all. I'd say it's getting rare enough that you can ask well above $300 and wait and see what happens.

I have three or four and I will never sell them. They are a precious piece of Buck history.

Display it and let your heirs sell it.

:D

So.......yes, I have them open.

Are you making a prediction that my eyes will see a return of the great old S30V Folding Kalinga?

Like this?:D

I agree it's a nice knife, but if you're going to make a prediction--at least have the courage to say it.

I'd love to see Buck make it again, but they could never make it the same as the old ones. They just don't do that anymore.

Myself, I'd love to see a return to old school, high quality and actual stamps in the steel.

Like these. But........sadly, Buck has decided to cheapen their knives with ink stamps, etchings and laserings instead of the real thing as in happier days.

It would indeed be a happy day if we saw quality markings again.......but I don't see any indication from Buck that they're going to return to the ways of better days. We'll never see 419 Folding Kalingas the like of this again.

I checked completed listings and I see 419s going for $225 to $370, but I don't see any sets recorded as sold.

Got a link to it?

Ah, you got it with a "Best Offer" and didn't have to pay the full price.

Well done.

Yeah, it doesn't show up in completed listings or sold when you search with the model numbers. I imagine the auction didn't show up for most who searched for it in the first place so you had a good shot at getting it.

If I'd seen that one I'd have been making offers.

:D

Sellers should learn from that........that they must put ALL the info in their auction title to get more buyers.

:)
