Buck 55 vs 503 (Prince?)

Anyone have any pics comparing the two? I have the 503, which is one of my favorites, and was considering the 55. Are they about the same thickness? thanks
 
I would say both great and both similar sized knives. I have the 503 and have held the 55. The 55 has brass, which can be fun to clean, or a pain, depending on your preferences. Also it has a clip blade. Those are the primary differences. One of each wouldn't be too bad.
 
I have both and just compared them. They're virtually the same length and thickness. I'd agree, you should probably have both.
 
Well, that's funny. I agree I should have both also. I'm glad we solved this dilema. thank you...:D
 
We hated to twist your arm, but we knew what was best for you. A 501 Squire will give you a slightly longer cutting edge and is recommended as well, and pretty soon, a couple of knives later, you will have found what is the perfect steel on the perfect knife.
