yea that is about how i started with collecting, a few nice ones ...

Bobs is a pretty big store. I think they had two display cases with Buck knives and a bunch of other display cases with other knives.

I do have the wifey brainwashed about guns, she would never know if I brought a new one home as there are too many for her to tell the difference.
I have to work on this knife thing though. I would complain but I have bought 9 knives in about the last 6 months. :)

I am no expert, but Bobs also had some other knives in the display case which are not listed at their web site now.

9 in 6 months...good. Keep it up.

I have a beater box with some old EDCs and a mess of 110s that I got off e-Bay...you know, the ones that are "almost mint" but aren't. My wife just looks at that like "what a waste". But my closet queens are another story. She wants to get me a display case for 'em.
But I'm humbled by what the big boys here have in their collections. It would be like me showing up on a moped at Sturgis.
Fun until someone else sees ya.

and taking you 30 minutes to drule down 3 OR 4 tables of display! for one collector no less! and that was at the Virginia show! hate to think of what Atlanta was like*!*

*{tho if i could go i would ride a mo ped to be there!
better chace of daytona as my sister inlaw sings blues and jannis tunes :cool: during bike week and biketober there...}

If you look closely, they have a different profile on the handle. The lower one is an earlier version.

Does the lower one have a "step" on the edge, while the upper one is just beveled??? (Digs mine out...) Mine has the bevel, but because of BG-42 blade, I don't know what date/tang stamp it had originally... :(

Trax, Yes, the lower one has a step as you mentioned and is dated 1988.
 
now i am 560 hungry again...

i still have a smoth balck so it will look good ...
you never know what will come up that you want more then what you got ... ya-know?
or do yu guys have that issue?
 
well if you dont mind, that will get cut and past into my 560 history log! ok? seems i had a few 560's still jest got rid of another, a smooth black this time... so have a polish balde or two and DM to go away yet... man i hate this buck reduceing program the wife has me on ... i'm melting....
