Is this knife an older version of the Nighthawk? They look likle the same thing only the Nighthawk is beadblasted/coated.
I think the 619 has an all rubber handle. What happened to this knife??

This knife is a kraton handled version of the 119. Buck offered these knives for a short period in the mid to late 80s. They were discontinued due to soft sales. The knives are not collected by many, though a few of us have them. Most people like the way the knives are tacky to the touch but found them to be rather plain in appearance.
I believe Kraton is a material developed by Shell Oil but I could be wrong on that.

A friend of the family had one and I knew they were not being produced anymore. They are kind of cool. What is their steel? Is it the same as the nighthawk?
