The 700 series doesn't have the same blades as the 300 series.

John is correct. The two series of knives is similar but diferent dies are used for each knife.

Thanks for the replies. I meant to inquire if they use the same steel. I have a Stockman and I'm looking to get a 701. Thanks again.
