Buck 811?

In the thread I posted the link to, one maker described how he had to clearance the spring holder to get the blade to close.

Guy who did the work in that thread had been around this forum for a while. Whether he’s still here or even on the right side of the grass any more is anyone’s guess unless someone here knows him, which I assume someone did/does.
I looked at that thread and since the photos are no longer available I guess I didn't realize it was the same knife. The knife sass posted a photo has a description that shows the owner stating it is a "factory made knife". If it's the same one as in the link you posted than the description is incorrect unless you consider both knifes were "factory made" before they were merged.

I tried rescuing those photos with no luck. Seems his account was completely removed, or perhaps renamed.

I know some strange things have come out of the factory. Could be a lunch box knife, I suppose.

Reading the description from the thread and comparing it to the photos, it looks to be describing that knife exactly. There’s not too many ways to get that blade in that knife though.

It’s an intriguing enough piece though that I might be inclined to do that swap myself to see if I can pull it off as well.

I’m hoping Sass would have sent the photos to Joe or Jeff to see what they come up with.

The OP of that thread is sitflyer, he is still active on BF...send him a message and ask about it. Preston

Me and Joe are discussing it now, he thinks it's possible, but the problem is there aren't enough pictures and there is no way to find out who's knife it was?

Both of these are usually cheap when you find them. Create your own as you see fit. However, there are couple of Buck nuts that collect these.

There is at least one more model but have not placed it in the new photo spot yet.
