What's the difference between the Buck Advantage Pro & Buck Vantage TM Select Knife?

Thanks to the forum I replacing my Benchmite 310 with the Buck for now.
I'd like to get the Yuna EQ 2 but they have to make one.

Anybody know of a Yuna or Benchmite for sale?

the 345 is the large select version with a blade length of 3-1/4" an 420HC steel and the 342 is the small vantage pro with a blade length of 2-5/8" and S30V steel.

buck have 3 different classes of the vantage;
the cheapest, the vantage select in 420HC steel, with "glass reinforced nylon" handle material.

middle one, the vantage avid in 13C26 steel, and dymondwood for the handle material.

and the most expensive, the vantage pro in S30V, and G10 for the handle material.

all of them come in a large/small sizes.

Great explanation!

They are a great line of knives regardless of which one you select. I went with the middle line since I preferred the wood over the G10 and am not a real "steel snob".

Again, they are a great buy for the money, just a preference thing.

I take it that the Advantage Select that sells for $20 on Amazon is the one that doesn't have the S30V. Is there wasn't that much difference? With the difference in price there must be.

as the price goes up, the quality of steel, as well as the quality of handle material goes up.

and @ohen cepel, they are fantastic knives for the money, i love my large vantage pro.
and if anyone is looking for a more 'unique' one, go to bucks website and then go to their web specials, and they have a great vantage avid on sale there.
 
There is a premium on the steel but often it is not seen in say to day use.

For the typical person who takes care of their blade it will never be noticed.
