Hello,

First time post and starting off with a question.

What Boy Scout edition or commemorative knives has Buck produced from the factory? I am familiar with the the 416 Scoutlite, that I grew up with, as well as the 500 Eagle Scout currently available.

I have enjoyed working with Billy Bates these past weeks on a special project of 110s for the local Boy Scout council to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Scouting's national honor society.

I am looking for any insight into the history of factory Boy Scout offerings that collectors may have found over the years. It would be fun to share the history with the scouts and scouters that are buying this new limited edition.

Thank you for sharing your collective knowledge with me.

JBradley266, welcome to the Buck Forum... There's are diifferent Scoutlites 412s with different stamping on the Blade
and different GEN of handles some had 1 rivet and the first GEN ones had 3 rivets... I'm not sure of any more...
But there could be... Here's a link to see different stamping on the blades... If you find out anything let us know... Thanks

Welcome, JB. Buck has produced the Duke in special form since 1980 to commemorate a Scout reaching the level of Eagle. This is a nice knife and has their date of achievement etched on it. Bill Bates is a good one to work with. DM

Thanks for start gentlemen.

Bill is adding some really neat details with the bolster engraving and the leather sheath embossed with our centennial totem. Just in lodge member pre-sales, we have sold quite few even though expected delivery is months away. I am glad he sourced enough cherrywood handles, the wood color makes the 110 stand out.

JB266, email me please I want to find out more about the new Scout 110... Thanks

That is awesome ItsTooEarly. Those are examples of exactly what I need to show the youth. The national conference this year is going to be huge 15,000 participants at MSU.

Thank you for hosting and posting the image. Billy will make a few tweaks here and there. We hope it will be a nice piece that our scouts and scouters will use and wear. Buck Knives replacing their embossed logo with our centennial totem is going to be just the right added touch.

I would love to find a photo. Google images turned up a small internet photo I can't see the detail on.

Hi JB,

Here is the only photo I could search out. It's from one of our top 110 collectors (Not the best image)

Thank you I will add that to the presentation to the scouts.

I do need to thank a few of you who have called the Ore-Ida boy scout council to help with the fundraiser. The youth in the Order of the Arrow organize and direct programs throughout the year and this special project has been one of the most exciting for them.

110 Dave, Post some pictures of this "Philmont Scout Camp 50th" Buck 110...

You probably got 2 of them in that nice 110 collection of your...

Prototype from the factory has arrived at the Ore-Ida Council office!

Thank you for all the insight I have received so far.

This is one of the most enjoyable volunteer projects I have taken on.

Here's a 412 Scoutlite with 4 Beads on the blade... This one is different for sure... It's not mine but I'm looking for one like this,
so if you see one please let me... Thanks

That one will be tough to find. Typically only 2 individuals a year in each scout council would qualify for the 4 bead designation (Woodbadge Course Director).

One of the largest scout memorabilia shows will be in Michigan this summer. I will keep an eye out for the Bucks.
