Buck Boy Scout editions or commemeratives

That one will be tough to find. Typically only 2 individuals a year in each scout council would qualify for the 4 bead designation (Woodbadge Course Director).

One of the largest scout memorabilia shows will be in Michigan this summer. I will keep an eye out for the Bucks.

If you see any Scoutlites that are different... Let me know and give me a call...

Email me and I will give you my cell number and maybe you can send me some pic's

and I can say yes or pass... I have a few friends that do that for me... It would be cool

to share a few pic's of the show with a few Buck 412s (Scoutlites) for sale...

I wish I could go... Where is the show going to be at in Michigan and what days and time...

:)

300 that looks a lot better... That's just one more Buck I need now...
I wish Buck would do some more gold etch knives...

:)

JB,

If you haven't noticed already, we knife collectors are a interesting bunch. You likely will get hints or even bold outright requests to buy one of the special Scout knives so someone can have it in their collection. You should not feel guilty for asking questions here but guarding you special Buck made knives just for your purpose. They will leak out over time anyway. Please bring a photo back to show in this forum so we can ooh and ahh.

Thanks for the shout out gentlemen. The camaraderie amongst enthusiasts is fun to see. Sorry for my absence, I am a Certified Public Accountant by trade. For today's teaser I present the prototype sheath. The leathworks will replace the Buck logo with our Order of the Arrow centennial totem. The brass Buck button will be changed to nickel/pewter.

The Eaglescout knives come out wonderfully. I don't have a photograph yet, but will update my post when I do. The ordering is easy and the price is fixed, no matter how little or how much engraving you have done. Two different styles of engraving to choose from. The turn around was about two weeks I believe.

On a side note, a couple of years ago, I tried to get in touch with the person who did the Eaglescout order process. Joe Houser finally put her in touch with me. She advised at that time that Buck was negotiating with the BSA to use the Eaglescout logo. They had done it before, but maybe a license had expired, I'm not sure. The process was on hold for a bit. I waited until I saw the new website had easy to follow instructions a few years later. I had no idea that Buck would do this for Eaglescouts, but apparently it's word of mouth and see the website. I'm glad I did, it's a great keepsake.

Its not word of mouth now. Go down to the bottom of the Buck Website home page and there is a spot to click on 'Eagle Scout Knives".
