Buck Build Outs Pictures

I just found this picture. I don't own the knife anymore, I gave it to postfallsidaho sometime ago but here it is.

0889BO-B SBMF Military/Coyote brown handle/ATS-34 blade (the buildout list says 154CM???) /104 made

"0500BO2-B Rosewood/ATS-34 blade/18 made"
Are you sure only 18 were made? There's a knife shop by me that has three of these. Looks exactly the same, ATS-34 blade and rosewood on all of them. I wouldn't imagine one shop ended up with three out of 18.

I'm not sure of anything except that it's the number that Mr. Hubbard from Buck has on the list.

This is a Build out klinkhammer 121 that I had Stone Knife Works do a custom Red and White Lucite and aluminum handle on it along with a standard 119.

When those first came out on the list, I could have bought all 18 if I had been the first to get my order in, so It's very possible that someone bought 3 of the 18. I did get 2 of them myself.

Some the boxes are coded 'Buildouts' some are just regular, factory store called them prototypes. So who knows. All I know is they were a experiment with smooth black Delrin that was shot down. I would rather have black bone, with some streaks in it....and I would like to see the 301 with the next size down shield. The big blue color on the 301 scale takes away something visual........300

I like them!! Rare steel/handle materials make for a rare and collectible Buck.

Does this mean that only 18 ATS-34 Buck 110 blades were made?

I didn't say that. What I think it means is that there were (according to the list) only 18 of that particular BO made unless his number is wrong. I'll go back as soon as I have time and look at the order form that I got mine from and see if it gave a number that were available.

Ok thanks Dave. It's just that I've only ever seen about 5 so I thought maybe it was just that
