Buck Celebrates 75th Anniversary of the Buck 119 - from Sporting Classics

SMKW has a limited run (50) of these with the 2016 blade on it. They are saying it is collectable....Anyone think so? A factory error

I like scarce tang stamps. Anything else can be easily "created" in the aftermarket, including these...

Well it is SMKW so they are the real deal.....They claim the old blades were used before it was corrected. Brass and wood version....

tom19176 -- I wan't implying they're not real, just saying that it wouldn't be difficult to "create" more.

It's not 2016. I can't imagine more would be made with that stamp.

My new 75th anniversary 119 from SMKW with the 2016 tang stamp is 'out for delivery' according to USPS tracking. I do find it a bit odd that a nice round number [50] have a 2016 blade/tang stamp. Either way, they are beautiful knives.

Odd, maybe...their ad says 'they' only had 50 available. There could have been others shipped out to retailers/distributors and show up unannounced.

Just as with the 2002 100 Year Anniversary issue, I have 110s with the medallion on the years preceding and after 2002, 110 with the 2002 tang stamp and no medallion, etc. Production doesn't stop and end at a certain time, all components are use as they become availalbe...makes the collecting fun and frustrating.
