Buck choices

I'm not sure I'm sold on the S30 it does seem to stay a little sharper longer, but it's also got some nicks in the blade that I ain't sure how they got there and I usually know it when I nick a blade.
I am sold on the 501 been carrying one or over 30 yrs.
