I became a member of the B.C.C. within the last month and just recieved my first quarterly newsletter. Lots of great information inside. But I have two complaints....

#1: How come nobody told me about this club sooner! Buck should put information on the club in each knife box, either on a separate slip of paper or B.C.C. information could be contained in the warranty document with the option to enroll when sending the warranty card in.

#2: How come I didn't hear about the great pricing available to B.C.C. members through the help of Larry Oden sooner? I would have bought more knives!! (On second thought, maybe its better I didn't know).

I believe getting this information into the hands of knife users / collectors would result in a significant boost in club membership, and in knife sales! Please pardon my enthusiasm...I've been in sales all my life.

P.S. The 100 Year / Centennial Edition of the 110 with Black Diamond Wood is beautiful. Worth your serious consideration in adding to your collection in my view.

Snakeriver,

Welcome to the club! Glad to have you aboard. Sorry you didn't hear about us sooner, but it's always better late that never!

Snakeriver,
Sorry you did not hear about the club sooner. We did just start putting an aplication in some of the knife boxes. YOu would be surprised at how many people call me and casually mention that they have over 50 Buck knives. They have the same response you did when i tell them there is a Club full of knifeknuts just like them!
Welcome to the club!:D

Well, I'm not much of a salesman, but I agree wholeheartedly with your comments. A lot of companies overlook their core following. Case does a good job boosting interest and sales with their collectors club and it seems like Buck is following suit. :)

I also welcome you. It's hard for us real knife nuts to realize how hard is is to find the other people like us unless we get into a club or attend a major knife show. I founded the club over 10 years ago, and I did put ads in BLADE and KNIFE WORLD for the fist year. To answer the earlier question; Larry Oden is one of our most enthusiastic members and a real nice guy.

If you will email me your fax number or your snail mail address, I will gladly send you an application.

perhaps someone at the buck collectors club can be of help-I have a100th anniv.ed. 110 I want converted to an automatic. Does anyone out ther know where I can send it to have it worked on? Any info would be most greatly appreciated
