This is mainly to Joe H.

Two weeks ago, I sent a package to BKI containing FIVE knives, four for a blade change, one bucklite with a cracked handle. I was under the weather and my wife took them to the Post Office, and forgot to get a tracking number. I called Tuesday and left a message asking if they had gotten there. Yesterday-Thursday-I got a call from a nice woman in the Warranty dept. and she yes they had them, they were running behind a bit and it would take two weeks or more till they got to the head of the line. Ok, I can deal with that. Busy season, things get backed up. I told her they were not my only knives and I would live until they got them to me.

AHHHHH but here is the lie! Today, Friday, one day later, I get a knock on the door and Mr Postman hands me a box containing all five knives. All fixed. no charge. SHE LIED TO ME!!!! They were already in the mail when I called. How DARE you funny people lie to me. Counting shipping days, they might have had the knives ONE maybe TWO days. Backed up in the warranty Dept, my eye.

Anyway, I want to make sure Joe lets the people who handled my blade swaps and the warranty return know how much I appreciated the speed and service I got from BK inc and figured this would get people to look at the post. She still lied to me, but it was like the little white lie my wife told about ..... well never mind, I got what I wanted at the end..... And thanks to BK inc again.

Pete

You have an interesting way of verbalizing your appreciation. Glad you got better than expected service.

I might see some form of tracking at Buck that might have given her a wrong indicator as to status of your knives. I just seriously doubt that she LIED to you on purpose. She may have just been going by info she had at the time.

Calling them LIARS is pretty strong words unless I am not reading this right and you are really showing some attempts at being funny... If so,,,,pardon me.. We would have looked at this post without calling Liars... I think I have another headache coming on...

Well, all tact aside, it goes to show one of the many reasons why Buck is awsome!

I guess I always had a problem with tact....

I always got a whole new set of tact Jan 1 every year. Couple of years I actualy made it to Jan 20 before I used it all up..

Sorry Guys......

BG42 blade upgrade to my 112: took 8 days roundtrip. That's awesome customer service! Plus the bolsters were polished. C'mon, where else can you get that kind of customer service?

Andy

P.S. - the BG42 swap was done about a year ago.

Tact? it has nothing to do with tact, I got 140 people to find out that Buck takes care of their customers.

I knew Buck would upgrade a 110 Blade to a BG 42 But I did not know they did 112s? Do they still? is it $35.00?
Porky

...Not doing 112's at this time...I'm sure Joe will let us know when or if they decide to offer 112 upgrades...:(

I don't know. You'll have to contact buck to find out, or perhaps someone will chime in and give you a definite answer.

Not at Buck. They've had my 110 for blade upgrade since 22 Sept. :(

I wondered if I didn't catch Buck during a down time. I was floored when I got my 112 back so fast from Buck. I expected it would take at least 2 weeks. It really seemed almost too good to be true.

And how many skimmed the thread titles and left thinking that Buck CS is no good? No offense, but IMO there should be a rule about starting threads with titles like this, derogatory as a trick.:thumbdn:

...I did one of those when I first came to the forums...Larry Oden jumped on it quick and I believe the thread's title got changed...

Yep Blue Sky, agree.

I think it was with good intention, but a bit over the edge. I was thinking the same thing about how many peeps looked at the thread title and didn't actually read the post.

The post itself was evident, except for as a logistics guy like me, showing that the CSR didn't know where the knife was because of a processing lag in data perhaps (thinkiing it was still in process but actually had been shipped...maybe I should move to Idaho and do a CRM system for 'em).

But the thread title, how many people go the freeway and see a billboard, and how many people actually stop somewhere because of the billboard are two separate sets of data based on the same event (seeing the billboard).

Agreed. On a related topic, Cougar emailed me that mods here will not delete threads...

...But they will move them if they think the opinion expressed is best expressed elsewhere (Good + Bad + Ugly forum, for instance). This thread fits in there somewhere, I think...

Well it has been up for 3 days, no mods have asked me to change it and I feel that pretty fast it is clear that Hyperbole was used as means to exemplify my appreciation that they took care of me as fast as they did. If a Mod or Joe wants me to change it I will. Otherwise 260+ people have read that Buck takes care of there people.
