Buck costomer service/warranty depts Lied to me!!!!

...Somehow I hardly think it was necessary for you to feel that you had to take on the responsibility of informing the people of the forum about Buck's service practices, particularly with as misleading a title as it was...Nice to know you received great service however. Hope your knife serves you well for a very long time...

I can't tell if the first post is sarcasim or if its serious but I doubt she lied. She probably saw that they were recieved because its notated in a log or on a computer. I would guess that all the woman you talked to has access to is when they arrive and when they logged out. If someone on the other end was behind and didn't get the ones logged out for the day done, or if they didn't do that but once every week she couldn't know when they left the factory completed unless the screen told her so.

A classic case of a big company where the right hand doesn't always know what the left hand is doing doesn't make it a lie.

Not really sarcasm, more like leg pulling. As far as I know, she was fully telling the truth that it was taking 2-3 weeks as they were backlogged, and she was telling me the truth as she knew it. HOWEVER, I was not picking on them, angry with them, or anything of the kind, but when she said they had my knives she did not speak the truth, the USPS had my knives.

AGAIN I am very very very very happy with the service I received. I can only put it to the fact that A) the knives I sent in for blade swaps were ones that were easy to do, had the blades in stock ( i had called to make sure) and the knife that needed to be replaced, cracked bolster on a Bucklite, was one they had in stock. B) that my package came in on a day when someone had 10 minutes to kill in a day and it would take 9 minutes 45 seconds to finish and all of A was true as well. C) My witty and charming conversation with the lovely woman on the phone had convinced her that making me happy was the way to my heart. I have no other ideas as to why mine got done when someone elses did not. I would tend to want to believe that reason C was the winner, but A and B are much more likely.

I will say again, I wrote it this way as a change of pace and to get you to read it.

You didn't mail it to Joe's attention by chance? If so, I recall he was out of town a couple weeks, which may explain some of the delay.

No - "Amber's" instructions were to mail it to Warranty Department...Like I said in another post, she sounded new/young...

All I know is that I am glad you were just funning around! :D
I read the title and thought "Oh no, what happened!" Do I want to read this now or get another cup of coffee down first? Just the thing I want to deal with on a monday morning. ;)
Once I read it, heaved a big sigh of relief, I had to crack up!! ;)
I will share it with everybody in the department, just to see them squirm!
I am glad we were able to turn it around so fast.
I can say that as of now, we are out of BG-42 blades for the 110. I am not sure what the hold up is, other than the fact that the shop is in its busy season. I have asked for 112 blades in upraded steel too but fear that will be a long time coming.
Thanks for the kind comments sir!

I wouldn't worry too much about the flak you're receiving from the girls in the sewing club. Sometimes their panties get all wadded up & they take it out on other forum members. The fact the thread is still here (& not edited) & Joe Houser got a good laugh out of it, says it all. You got everyones attention & paid Buck a nice & well deserving compliment....nice job.

Nice to see you back, Mick! How come you didn't enter the drawing??? ;)
