If figured you Buck folks would want to know -if you don't already, about the new collaboration. The Buck and TOPS collaboration knife- CSAR-T is awesome.
I'm not posting here as a sales gimmick, since we'll sell through these pretty quick, but these are really cool knives. They are monster thick and tough in the Strider and Zero Tolerance tradition. All made in USA with Paul Bos hardened ATS34.
We're taking pictures within hours, but we have the TOPS ones up

Well I've been waiting on this one so I just put my order in along with a charcoal 301. I've hanging onto the idea of the Camillus pattern 300 series. I guess its time to check out the new model. Afterall, I do respect the 420hc Buck does in its knives and I know the 2x grind technology is good stuff.

Prediction: I'm gonna really like both the Czar and Charcoal stockman. :)

If you don't like the tool holder then think of it as a lanyard hole. That's my thought process with it.

For those who get one soon please post some reviews.

I'm not a tactical knife guy, but I had to order one also. A man just can't have too many Buck's.

I think someone said this one was what you needed "if you had to pry a door jam off." Interesting knife.

Steve, I'll give my impressions when it gets here end of next week. I'm interested to see how it compares in size to an Alpha Folder.

Exactly Dave!!

My Czar came in just a bit ago. I haven't had time to really look at it a whole lot but I will say the only way to properly characterize it is to call it "One Bad Ass" knife.

What a beast. More later tonight.

Mine came day before yesterday and it is a brute! Not my style, but it is impressive.

Can't wait to go to the Mall and carry it in my camo's.

Well I'm going out on a limb and say Plum don't fill his camo out quite the same way.

Back to the Czar...I'm going to do a photo layout for everybody to look at. I'll do that in the morning with some good light. The knife is very well built. Lock up is perferct and the liner lock is very very strong. Almost like a framelock. In fact, it wouldn't be a surprise to me if someone said it was stronger. The handles are very nice...I like them. The texture is quite grippy but not rough. Blade opens up smooth as silk and locks up like a bank vault with the liner lock no more than 25% over. The dual thumb studs are comfortable and functional. I'm not sure what the clip's made out of but its tough! The jimping on the top of the blade is functional without being rough on your thumb.

The blade is thick and heavy duty and I find the modified tanto point appealing. I'm not exactly sure what I'll do with this thing but I do like it.

For all ya'all that like the Alpha Folder, you will like this knife.

Weakness: It's heavy and the liner is so strong that the blade is off center when closed. Neither of these issue is a bother to me. As long as the blade opens and closes smoothly I'm OK with a little off-centerness.

This is a very solid effort by Buck and Tops. Side note: if you liked the Strider 880, you'll absolutely love this knife as it has a kindred soul.

Does look very tempting!

Is it being sold as a Buck or a TOPS? How was the box/blade marked?

Plum- please don't troll the mall near me in pink camo:D

Other feedback would be great! I need another folder like a hole in the head, however, that hasn't slowed me down yet.

It comes in a standard Buck box. The label says "Buck/Tops CSAR-T.
The blade is marked with both Tops and Buck on one side and the BOS ATS-34 on the other. Gordon's pictures will show all that I'm sure.

No pink camo for me! Mine are puce.:p
