Well I'm going out on a limb and say Plum don't fill his camo out quite the same way.
Back to the Czar...I'm going to do a photo layout for everybody to look at. I'll do that in the morning with some good light. The knife is very well built. Lock up is perferct and the liner lock is very very strong. Almost like a framelock. In fact, it wouldn't be a surprise to me if someone said it was stronger. The handles are very nice...I like them. The texture is quite grippy but not rough. Blade opens up smooth as silk and locks up like a bank vault with the liner lock no more than 25% over. The dual thumb studs are comfortable and functional. I'm not sure what the clip's made out of but its tough! The jimping on the top of the blade is functional without being rough on your thumb.
The blade is thick and heavy duty and I find the modified tanto point appealing. I'm not exactly sure what I'll do with this thing but I do like it.
For all ya'all that like the Alpha Folder, you will like this knife.
Weakness: It's heavy and the liner is so strong that the blade is off center when closed. Neither of these issue is a bother to me. As long as the blade opens and closes smoothly I'm OK with a little off-centerness.
This is a very solid effort by Buck and Tops. Side note: if you liked the Strider 880, you'll absolutely love this knife as it has a kindred soul.
Wondered if you were still going to do the photo layout? Anyone else got one of these? For those who've had one for a while now how is it working for you?
being more of a traditional kind of guy, I don't know why I did. But that's just me.
