Buck Custom "E" Mark

but sirusly, I do have a Buck knife that was on Apollo 13...what's it worth??
on the 13 it self or on the movie?

humm with paper work like as not over a c note or so ...
is it signed? and if so by who..got picts

any way worth much more if it was with the one i have with the space shuttle etched on it as a set..:eek:;)
 
This is the response I received from Joe regarding the "E" marking:

"I know that it used to be a somewhat common practice to engrave a letter E on knives that were specifically to be sold to Buck employees. Sometimes it would be because the knife was a second. I believe that if yours is and Employee knife, it was so designated because the knife was an over run. I believe the original run of those knives was 1500 pieces so it is possible that they actually made a few extra and marked them with an E.
There is no way to know for sure but this is the one scenario that makes the most sense."
 
That's coool, all the ones I have are from ex-Buck-employees... The E is ok with me...
E = over run, employee knife... That's what one employee told me... One told me it had a E on it because it was made for him... :) ... A second is ok too... Well, as long as it's a Buck that is... :thumbup:
