I sent a Ranger that I've had for maybe twenty years to Buck to have the blade replaced around the third week of August. I broke just the very end of the tip off, my fault. Also sent them my credit card number to cover repairs. Fully expected to pay for what ever they needed to do to the knife as it was not a warranty issue, it was misused by me. Well received the knife back today, no charge. I'm pretty sure it's a new knife. Blade has the Idaho stamp, and everything looks new. A big  thumbs up to an American company! Wish my truck had such a warranty.

I broke a Buck and TOLD them I had used it as a pry bar. They replaced the blade and refinished the entire knife at NO CHARGE !

HOWEVER they did not invite me for Christmas dinner!

What kinda outfit IS that?

  :D

Can't beat the Buck lifetime guarantee. My instructor is a Buck fanatic!

He jokingly told us once "Buck knife is the way to go. I can stab someone in the chest, and if the blade breaks in their sternum, I can send it back, and they'll STILL replace it for free." Again, it was a joke, but he was trying to make the point that they're a great company that supports their products and customers 100%.

Great story.

Totally agree. I haven't dealt with a ton of knife companies... and after dealing with Buck's stellar service I don't have a lot of inclination to go elsewhere. :)

I did the same thing and broke off the tip of my buck 110. But only after i stuck it in the wood floor in my kitchen about 50 times. I sent it to them and in a few weeks i had a knife with a brand new blade free of charge. A relative actually did the same thing a few years prior and they replaced his free of charge as well. I bought a benchmade while it was gone and have never used the ole' 110 since. Its a damn good knife for the money, i just prefer a more modern knife now.
