Buck damascus auto's

I have about 40 damascus 110Db & 110DR knives
that I would like to have made into auto's
who does this type of work.

I'm not sure the name of the aftermarket place that does the work. They advertise on Rec.knives all the time.. I think I've seen them on Ebay also....

Anyone Know?

Frodo,

Give Mike at ABC-Direct a call. He deals closely with the outfit that retrofits the Buck 110s. A caveat though...that outfit has been adament about not working personal 110s. They prefer to get new Buck knives for conversion... something to do with tolerance differences on older pieces. Then again with the number of damascus knives you have.....

Are you willing to sell any of the 110DB or DR knives to forumites? I have a 110DM which is damascus and stag. Is the DB bone and DR rosewood?

How does the damscus stand up on Buck knives? I bought a Case damascus and it started showing rust on the blade after only one day of carry.

I bought all of my Bucks in 1989-1990-and 1991 but I have never carried or used one,I keep them in Browning safes and check them about 3 times a year and haven't found anything wrong with any of them,they are like the day I bought them.
