I have obviously seen Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops and LL Bean selling knife model variations that are made by buck exclusively for them. Are there any other retailers out there that have exclusive deals for models from Buck?

Theres quite a few actually. All you have to do is put in a big enough order.
SMKW
Shepherd Hills cutlery used to...
An online knife source has their own models made exclusive also...
Heck Mr. Klinkhamer had his own series made!

Other than that I cannot recall anymore off the top of my head. But there are more.... alot more :D

I think all you have to do is look at the Special Projects Lists in the BCCI newsletters.

I don't know if those are considered retailers, I guess I never thought of it that way, anyway! Then theres TONS of options!! :D

Thompson-center being the top of my list! ;)

I agree with WD. Take a look at Joe's LE/SO list each year in the BCCI news letters. There are tons of places that have had knives made. Some for retail sale and others not. The best places to find these are auction sites, gun & knife shows, and contact with the originator of the order. There have been some very cool knives ordered and made by Buck.

I like a lot of the SO knives from Bass Pro Shop's and Willeys Knives.

Yep, there are tons. If you can click on to a website or walk into a store and buy it for personal use (as opposed to buying for resale) that is by definition retail. :)

Yes, you are correct! ;) (I wasn't thinking outside the box- I was originally thinking large retail chains :o) You definately had the best answer yet BTW, if someone is a BCCI member!

Collect them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Just seems like some of the models are more unique than others. The AG models are quite unique from any you can find elsewhere as is the blade type from Bass Pros (at the moment). The stacked leather models at LL Bean seem unique but I don't know if there are other leather handle bucks available elsewhere. I guess I was just wondering if there were any other major ones like that. Seems like I missed some cool past models like the stag AGs from Cabelas. Don't want to miss any others.

Hang around here, and you will catch alot of them, but theres so many available, your bound to miss some.... We all do! Thats part of the fun I guess.

You may also join the BCCI if you haven't. They offer some very unique knife variations to members only. If you started collecting in your early 20's and only bought BCCI offerings, by your 60's, 50's, 40's or even 30's you would have an amazing collection of Limited Editions.

I haven't joined yet. But I certainly plan on doing so. I just need to get myself to stop buying knives for a minute 1st. :(

Good advise! Then you will have info on all of the knives!

Its the best membership money I ever spent! Trust me you willl find more Bucks to buy... LOTS of them :D

Yeah I need to slow down on the shopping and just join. I was putting it off cuz I want to go Lifetime so I insure keeping the same member number.

Right now a member can get the LE numbered (1000 made) Buck Chipflint 119 with buffalo horn handles for $80 and free shipping.

Other great knives at similar discounts.

Something like that just about pays for your life membership with one purchase.

;)

Tracks, I like the stacked leather handles, although, none that I have are Bucks--mostly Case or Western/Boulder. I know LL Bean sells a 102 and a 105 with stacked leather, but I have never seen one in the flesh. Just made a purchase from the Bay, a Buck 103, with stacked leather handle. I have never seen one before and the 103 is one of my favorite patterns. I jumped on it and got it pretty cheap, I think. It's new, no sheath, but I know a guy who'll make me a sheath, and I'm looking forward to seeing it. It went cheap, partly, because the seller had it listed as a 301, so it was in the wrong pew. I watch 300's, too, so picked up on it.

As for BCCI, I've been a member for some years and for some reason this year, my tack fell off the map. I sent in my membership check, it was cashed, I've even had some correspondence with JF, but, so far, no card, no newletters, no catalog, nothing. I'm sure it's a fluke, but, still frustrating.

Any one else ever see a 103 with stacked leather and are there other models out there? I've only been collecting Bucks for about 20 years, but sure have never seen one before.

There were some stacked leather 119's made for someone. Buck had them on the close out list or the web special page (don't remember which). They may have been LE's.

I REALLY like the look of those. Nicer than the LL Bean versions
