Did anybody get to the factory sale in Post Falls yesterday? My buddy went and picked me up a green handled 119 and a 119 FB. I usually try and make the sales when I'm not stuck here in Iraq.

I was just going to ask the same question Colt. I stuck here in CA to far away to go:o. So any of you local folk get to go? Colt, keep safe in that sand box.

I was there in line at 8:15 in the morning. I picked up the green handled 110 (didn't see a green handled 119) and a grey wood handled 119. Also stocked up on FB 119s 105s and 102s. They still had some of the strider/nighthawk hybrids. I got a couple of them:) I almost got one of the buffalo handled Kalingas, but they seemed to have quite noticable gaps between the handled and guard, so I passed them by. They had on display, but not for sale, a new 110 with a sort of blue colored handle made of recycled material. Wish I had been able to get a photo of it. I got to pick it up and it felt pretty good, and had the new logo in the handle. I did wish that would have some 118's again, and some Buck shirts for sale, but they didn't. It was still a good show though and the prices were excellent.

Why couldn't they have moved to S.C. when they left CA. ? :) What state is Idaho in anyway? :) We have lots of hard working ex-cotton mill workers here that would love to be Buck Employee's! (No offense to Idahoans!)

I think all of us up here in the Northwest would prefer it if Buck stayed right where their at:) I look forward to many factory sales to come! I might even go on the plant tour again some time.

Idaho is a state of mind.....

and I thought the sale was fantastic...oh...I get paid to say that....we signed a bunch of knives and raised over $1000 for the scholarship fund of the Kootenai County Police and Fireman Memorial Fund.

Had a line out the door for most of the morning.

The line at the door was still straight when I got there. It quickly grew and curved around all over out into the parking lot. This was the first year that I was close enough to the front of the line that when the doors opened I never had to stop inside the building. Just walked right through and got to start shopping. When I got to the cash register I could see folks down below waiting to get their knives signed. One guy was holding a poster (hoping to get it signed I guess) with a 184 on it.

Holy crap, factory sales, factory tours, makes me wish I lived in Idaho or at least close by. I would say I wished Buck had moved to NY but I wouldn't wish that on them, the way things are screwed up here! Good on ya for the police and fire memorial fund CJ-from a small town NY cop.

Man am I jealous........I guess I am kinda glad I couldn't go, I don't think my pocketbook could handle it after all the great web specials I picked up. I would have loved to go and meet some other buck addicts and the staff at buck (I might have bought something:D ).

Does Buck do their sale at the same time yearly? If so......I might have to plan a trip next year.

I am happy for the guys and gals that did get to go, and for the money raised for charity.

Take care, Mike Arnold

Well, I live too far away to drive...but I don't recall seeing any announcement here in the Buck Forum...

Were you guys within driving distance informed/find out about the factory sale??? If so, how???

The only way that I've ever known that there was going to be a sale was the little ad they run in the local (Spokane) paper. I don't know if they run the ad in any of the other papers in Idaho or anywhere else.

I'm about three hours away and didn't know about it. In any event the wife dragged me to Seattle for a birthday picnic for a girlfriend of hers. :( Trust me...I'd rather have been at the Buck plant buying more knives.

Well at least I am close enough So I could drive it, if I had a few days off for the road trip. Befor I would have had to fly. Maybe next year! I did take advantage of the web specials though.:D:D HL

Oh yeah! I picked up one the 118's on the specials page myself! Probably the best deal on a knife I've had in awhile! Now if they would just put one of those green handled 119's
on the specials page, I'd be all over it! I'd be happy just seeing a picture of one! :)
