Buck Factory Sale

The line at the door was still straight when I got there. It quickly grew and curved around all over out into the parking lot. This was the first year that I was close enough to the front of the line that when the doors opened I never had to stop inside the building. Just walked right through and got to start shopping. When I got to the cash register I could see folks down below waiting to get their knives signed. One guy was holding a poster (hoping to get it signed I guess) with a 184 on it.

Good eye. That was me:D. The poster was the 184 BuckMaster from the early 80's. It was already signed by Mr Chuck Buck and CJ kindly signed it. I got there extra early with the 4 kids as I had to work.Just to buy some great knifes and have to have them signed by CJ. THANK YOU CJ

It was great fun and I will make sure we get the word out a little better for those who just might make a trip. We do the sale at a local event center "Greyhound Park". We use our slower time of the year to build out odds and ends, using up materials left over from the previous years special project runs. I never know exactly what is going to be available until right before the sale.

We try to do them before Father's day. Seems like a great time is had by both our folks and those coming to buy. It is a great interaction to get factory floor people talking directly with customers not to mention "numbers" focused office people getting a better understanding of the product.

Was good to see Rich and family and Tanner and crew down from Alberta.

I think I have only made two of the factory sales since Buck moved to Post Falls. Seems like everytime they have a sale I'm either on my way to or already in Iraq.
I did make it to the Buck Factory Grand Opening in 2005. I had been back from Iraq a month or so and was visiting my folks in Spokane and went with my Dad. Got to meet Chuck and show him the 880SP I carried on my previous tour in Baghdad. Whats cool is that my best friend or my Dad will hook me up with the bargins.

Colt6731,
Email me your address and I will send you a special Strider. My nephew has been to Iraq for 3 tours and is currently in Afganistan. Thank you for your service.

CJ Thank You for signing all of our stuff...
Hope you got to rest your hand after that;)
