Buck Family of Knives.

Here's a quick, poor, pic of my examples of 317's all block lettering. Could be Script lettering, i.e. like custom shop ?? Several companies made a clone but never have seen one with slanted blosters and black scales..

 
...Thanks 300Bucks...The stamp on the ol' guys knife wasn't script it was just plain block lettering. Your picture showed up on my computer as the infamous "red X"...Here's a pic of what I think may be a close copy of the 317 made by Case. It sure isn't a bad looking knife and you can get 'em without the serrations on top of the second blade.

...and you're right about the not slanted bolsters. Seems like I still haven't seen or held a real 317...LOL...
