Hi, I have just joined Bladeforums and wow... a whole new world to explore!

I have a Buck 639 Fieldmate thats been sitting in its box packed away for many years. I've never used it, infact its never left the house.

It doesn't have the serrations the full length (spine?) of the blade, just about an inch of them at the tip.

Now my interest in knives has been piqued, I'm wondering if they are collectable items otherwise ebay I guess.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes the 639 is somewhat collectable and has been doing fairly well the last couple years. Check out the completed listings on the big auction site.

Welcome. People collect potato chips shaped like states and paper clips too! Anything is collectible.

If you are looking for value, at your membership level, we cannot discuss that. But, as mentioned, you can check any auction site for auction records.
