I just bought a Buck Trapper for $16 and change. I thought, What am I risking? It may be a China Buck, but I'm not sure. Anyone have an experience with these? Good buy for the money?

I have not tried a tradional style Chinese Buck. But there were some positive statements made about them on the Buck Forum.

I have a Chinese Buck framelock. I find it well made with good fit and finish and a solid lockup. The "440A" steel works good.

for 16 bucks you can't go wrong....I've had a usa made buck 112 and it's awesome...recently bought a buck 303 but there is a lot of lateral blade play....gonna send it back..

What's the model number? Check the Spey blade, is it marked China?

I've got every model in this series, and they are all solid users. The large Trapper 384 is a real work horse!

The model # is 382 and it is marked China. I just found it on the other blade. Good to hear that they are solid users.
