Why so little love for this little necker? I know there's almost zero grip and it's tiny, but I like mine anyway. I've honestly only used it for cutting up cubed meat that I cooked over the fire while camping, but I really like it. Just wondering why it is rarely mentioned here. (unless I answered my own question already) (tiny and no grip)

When it first came out, 2008 thereabouts as I recall, it was quite the rage. There was even a fellow here, Normark, who made custom kydex sheaths for them (great sheath btw). I still have mine, kinda forgot about it till now, but in it's time, as a necker, it was a handy little blade made with the best steel of the time. Like you, I used it for just about everything. Think I'll start carrying mine again.

And they were Bos heat treated. The original sheath sucked but I think I also bought a sheath from Normark long ago.. I scored mine at the Buck booth at the Outdoor Retailer Trade show before they were released. Still have my Hartsook.

I had noe and loved it, but the handle was just too skimpy for me. If it was just a td longer or wider, or something, I'd have kept it. The other thing that regularly annoyed me was the ov rely deep sharpening notch. It snagged on string, twine, fishing line, and I ended up taking a small file and slanted it out so whatever snagged in there would slide out.

It was a great concept, but had a few glitches in between design and real world use.

Have had one since 2008. Use it to trim line when tying lures. Pinned it on my Jammie's while recovering from a surgery
