Buck Ivory 110/112 Nickle or Brass bolsters ?

I usually prefer brass on a 110 with just about any material but I must admit the nickle-silver looks better with the ivory.

I always prefer NS no matter what the inlays are.
Love those DM units Triple E. Good looking knives, all of 'em.

Guess Buck is still having probs with the last DM lot. Got an e-mail that they were gonna start a run and let me know when I could order one.
But that was like in May-June.
Not a prob since I am pleased to know they'd rather not sell something than sell something of questionable quality.

Now I'm thinking BG-42 FG NS but not certain on the inlays and rivets or no rivets.

Long way to say, I like NS.

Hi EEE,

You owe me for a new key board!!!! You see when I looked at those wonderful Buck knives you've got there; I slobbered all over the key board and it shorted out!!!!! Lucky I had a spare;).

The NS is by far the best look IMHO. Ok tell us about those knives (what are they, where did you get them).

I've got to agree with the others...the nickle-silver looks the best!

But the both are beautiful.

makes me want more and i am buck restriction this month!
i vote nickel ...for any thing other then dark wood.

My fav is the ivory 112 damascus with nickle...the only addition I would make is fingergrooves. I would most definitely take any one or all of those great looking Bucks.

Tease us some more:D Preston

Well, I'll go against the flow...I prefer the brass with the ivories and anything fossilized. I'd be more than happy to squeeze them into my collection;)

I have to be very honest! THEY ALL look GREAT!!!!
I prefer the Nickel silver BUT, I wouldnt turn down the brass either! :D

Yep. While I do prefer the NS, at closing time the brass looks good enuf to take home.

This is going to obviously take more research... So get those knives in the mail to me. Will let ya know in a year or so......:D

Sorry I don't have the ones with rivits in the scales.,,, I would like that look old nogalstic ...good idea Buckoholic.
Maybe my next project.
The handy work goes to Leroy on these all the way back to 1984 on the 110
with inside Ivory.
The others were this year using old Buck parts.....and a Mastadon.
Pack Rat you can come to Big "D" and touch them....I will do inventory before you leave.

Hi EEE,

As I was going through the safe today I found the only two Ivory handled knives I own. I know this is blasphemy as they are not buck knives......but maybe they'll grow up one day:).

If I had to choose, I'd go with the nickel silver.

They both look great, though, as others have mentioned. I think maybe I might lean toward the brass if the ivory were darker.
