Buck kitchen knives

Over on Buck's web site, I just noticed their new kitchen knives. Anyone try these out yet? They're quite handsome and are made in the USA, which I like. Which steel are they?

I saw the block of knives at the Buck store last week but didn't look at them. I guess I'm kitchen knife poor. I did buy four steak knives and they are very nice knives.

I'd like to get the 5 piece set, but it's listed as "out of stock".

Cableas has a set of Buck kitchen knives in stag. However, they are out of my price range

Does anyone know if -

A. They are made "in house"

B. Bos was involved in the heat treatment

That would pretty much seal the deal for me.

Yes they are made at the factory. Not sure about the BOS. I have a butcher and serrated bread. I told my wife to throw away all the old junk knives. LOL

Yes Paul Boss heat treats all the steel that goes through the factory.

The kitchen set is very nice! I think you would like them alot. I love our set!

Not sure what kind of deal it is but I did see the 5 piece Buck kitchen set over at Overstock.com for $159.95
