Buck Knife year and value?

I can read the info with the tip up. Here is an approximation of the tang stamp-
BUCK
.112.
U.S.A.
The dots are by the 112 in the mid part of the line and the 112 and U.S.A are each progressively smaller than the BUCK logo.
The knife is unused and unsharpened but has no box or sheath. I got this quite a while ago.

Your knife was made between 1974 and 1980.

Without the box or some photographs it will be very hard to get closer than that.

You have a pre-1981 Buck 112. In that date range, Buck was using 440c steel.

Congrats. You have a real collector's piece.

Without box and papers, its collectiblility is somewhat blunted, but in pristine condition it is still much sought after.
