This is probably a regular question but here goes anyway.
I have a folding hunter (model 110 I think)
that I was given for graduation in '73. The lock has ceased to function. Will Buck rework this knife under warranty?

Thanks

Yes if the knife was not unduly abused. Send
to:
Buck Knives Customer Service
1900 Weld Blvd.
El Cajon, CA 92020

In fact, when I send a knife to Buck, I
disguise the fact it is going to Buck by
naming the recipient B.K. Inc.
The UPS and postal service people in El Cajon
know the address and initials and I feel it
best that potential thieves between my post
office and El Cajon be kept in the dark.
Why advertise that a desirable item is in the
package?
Finally, I always send Buck $5 for return
postage so as to not take advantage of a
company who stands behind their product.

Buck is very good about fixing knives. But be aware that if you just send it cold, they will most likely just replace it.

If the knife has sentimental value, and you tell them it does, then they will repair yours and send it back.

I lost my favorite knife when I sent it to the factory to have the blade replaced.... they sent me a new knife instead [after I told them what had happened, they found a nice knife that was the same age as my old one and sent it to me].

Just be sure to tell them that you want this special knife fixed, not replaced.

If you would RATHER have a new one, I will be happy to trade, and I will pay shipping both ways

Good folks at Buck....

Thanks for the offer of a trade. But I will have to pass. My mother gave it to me .She is now gone . A new one would be nice, but just wouldn't be the same.
