Buck Knives are Rocking in 2014 !

Well said. Love the NUGE.

Thanks....

A celebrity won't influence my knife buying either way.

Mine either, but I would bet that there are quite a few people that will... Probably not many here, but the general knife buying public might.
Some people really like things that are celebrity endorsed. I'm sure that is what Buck is hoping for :D

I like his classic songs and think he is pretty unique for a rock star.he definatly knows his outdoor gear and I think he is a good match for Buck.He is kinda loud and overbearing but i mean cmon its rock and roll and knives! like i said good match. I like BUCK and if they put out a cool knife with Ted ,I'll buy it.

Looking forward to seeing what develops.
Ted Nugent is a very polarizing figure.
Love him, his guitars(those big ol' ES-335s and Byrdlands), his bows, his guns, his gear.

..and at least it's not Steven Seagal.

DC...:D

Thanks for the link Tom.. Many don't like him because he is very outspoken. I think that is a good thing in his case.
He is famous, and has made piles of money, yet he doesn't care who he offends. The man has true conviction for our personal freedoms, as well as preservation of wildlife.
He truly is one of the few celebrities with a back bone.

I'm not personally fond of things with celebrities names attached to them, but Buck picked a great person to team up with. I will have to wait and see what comes out. It may be my first celebrity endorsed knife, just because....

One thing you can be sure of is, Ted teamed up with Buck, because he truly believes in the company, the family, and the products. I will guaranty he didn't do it just for the $$$
Some may not like him but that's OK. His passion is hunting and fishing. He takes a stand for things I personally believe in and makes no apologies for it. I certainly didn't post this for political reasons.
Lol, I've pretty much learned my lesson about where that discussion should be posted. :o

Draft dodger and poacher... blech...

No, he registered and was actually given a 4-F by the Military itself. That is not draft dodging. Granted the 4-F was due to him manipulating the system, but I don't know many people who still hold the same views at 64 that they did at 18. Winston Churchill once said, "If you are 20 and not a liberal you don't have a heart. If you are 40 and still a liberal you don't have a brain." Very true. As for the poaching, I'll give you that. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for violating the law, but in reality it doesn't take much to violate California's anti-hunting game laws.

Well said. Especially concerning the poaching. As for ignorance being no excuse, IMO in today's environment with all its laws, I would say it is in all respects except legally. I do my best to be legal, and study the regs. I still bet I've busted regs several times and don't know it. And I know others have, people that want to do right, because they are surprised when I quote a reg to them. It's asinine, and I certainly won't hold that against him.

I'll say it again, I'll probably buy a Buck this year specifically because they brought him on board. Maybe even one with his name on it, if they do that without it being a ridiculous price, or stupid design.

Lol,I heard that story and don't believe it. I can tell you from my personal experience. Man shouting out> Anyone uses LSD,POT or other DRUGS raise your hands!

Agree with his viewpoints or not, you have to respect a man for standing up for what he believes in. Will I buy a buck knife specifically because of him? Unlikely. Will others that don't have knife addictions? Probably yes. He's a good spokesman that speaks strongly about the things he believes in.

As far as the poaching goes, legend has it down here on the Border this maybe true. Some say Ted once shot a Chupacabra down my way,out of season. As the story goes,he ate the evidence and the law couldn't touch em. They say it tastes a lot like chicken.

Hilarious and welcome this blisteringly mundane Monday morning. Thanks big time. You sure you didn't raise your hand... :) No, of course not. The SW has the Chupacabra and the NW has the Big Foot. I have a direct and personal BF story but I'm not inebriated enough, unfortunately, to spit it out here and now. Teaser, dog went ballistic when she found unique, old and freshly used incredibly stinking exotically remote BF open toilet/hidden and sheltered vantage point with a few beastly keep sakes neatly arranged within a long arm's reach...

OK, Lets walk along the edge of the thin ice but DON'T step over. OP was about Ted as a Buck Knife representative. Don't go to far left or right in comments, agree or disagree as to his status as a Buck knife representative. I wish Ted the best of luck as a Buck spokesperson an hope Buck has made a good image decision. All I have to say on the issues is. "On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout law......).

MW,
As I said, walk the edge. You can give your opinion as long as it is strongly associated with Buck knife activities. Buck knives is always the center of the attention. As moderator I need everyone's help in keeping long distance trollers from stirring up you guys emotions for their jollies and you end up typing stuff you kinda might wish you might have thought out better.

"....to help other people at all times to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight." I never allude that I am doing all that all the time. But they are still goals 50 years after I first raised my hand in the air.
