David did a great job answering questions and showing the proper way to sharpen a Buck Knife.

I sure wish you were there too Dave! There was a lot of interest in my yellow 301.One fella tried to trade me for it.:eek:LOL,NO WAY JOSE!:)David gave out the Buck web site over a hundred times.:thumbup:

After searching flea markets and more pawn shops than I can count the last year trying to find an old 110 with no sucess,David spotted one at a table for me that I got a real good deal on.I finally scored! Thank you David.:D

Thanks guys for your kind comments . A special thanks to Skyhorse as it did get really hopping and one person could not handle the interest and traffic of patrons which he greatly helped in that area . This show held near 300 tables and I think Tom's figure is correct on attendees . This show was carried on the front page of the Las Cruces Sun News as the event to attend . I could not get a lunch break or restroom stop without Tom's help . By the end of each day we were beat from being on our feet in need of down time . This show is a Fall and Spring show a great one to get your feet wet at whether displaying or answering questions there's lots of interest in Buck knives and fellowship among members here in SW New Mexico . Even some guys who traffic this forum came by to say hi whom I had never met so, you never know what will turn up .
There was so much to see and many old Buck knives to find that Tom & I barely had time to look . But he managed to find a 110 three line (no dots) for 20$ . It needs a spa treatment but has a full blade . I'm signed up for Oct. and we'd love to see you there . DM

The photo of three guys behind my table are all members . L-R are Tom Smith, me and Hugh Riddle . Hugh had a table of firearms from the 1800's . He's a quite guy but also has a outstanding collection of Buck knives, of the entire 100 series all one liners, a Schrade mfg. 301 and a one line 110 . Housed in the early Buck display counter boxes . Quite striking ! DM

Just kinda of a funny side note.Lot's of people wanted to buy Davids display knives.:)

David,
Thanks for representing the BCCI so well!! The pictures are great. We will be looking for a detailed report to print in the club newsletter. Saturday, John and I were just discussing an idea to assist you and a couple other club members with your appearances at future shows. We plan to discuss it at the Atlanta board meeting and I am confident it will be approved.

many thinks to you guys for showing the bucks and showing us the pictures!
it is nice to see others showing their collections!
i hope to make several shows this year
and the big show in atlanta
which i under stand is getting quite a turn out this year from more
buckaroos willing to show off their knives!!!
me and clint will be there this year!!

again thanks guys for the great pictures and commentary!!

Terrific display. What fun for attendees.

Examples of vintage Bucks in great display format accompanied by knowledgeable individuals equal a rare treat. Wish I had been there. Way to go David.

Pic #5: Is that a binder clip on the back of the blade in your sharpening stone demo? I cannot perform office work without such clips so I by them by the box full. However, I've never used them while sharpening a knife.

GREAT looking display David! I'm sure it was the envy of MANY Buck lovers!

Brings back memories of when I could go to the local sporting goods store and look at their display like yours, saving to get a 110! I remember the Kalinga was my "holy grail" back then, but it was FAR more than I had to spend.
