Buck Knives Exhibit,Las Cruces NM

Very cool indeed, I'd love to see them and you guys in person-thanks for submitting Tom-Very nice David.

Maybe David will be in Atlanta??? If so, I'll defintely drop by! Thanks for the great pics Skyhorse!

My pleasure Tony, the Director of the show stopped by Davids Buck Exhibit with an old 121 he brought from home to get info on from David. It was on Sunday shortly before the end of the show.David was busy at the moment with so many knife enthusiast at his table that I had a nice chat with the Director. He told me he was very happy with all the attention Davids display brought to the show and that he received many compliments from attendees about the Buck Exhibit. He went on to say the 5 thousand attendee number was actually just ticket sales alone and the real number would be higher as children, vendors, helpers and workers were not counted because they all were admitted free.He stated to me that it was the most successful show ever!:D

David Martin will be on the forum to give more details on his Buck Knife Exhibit.

OK,

The wife has never been to Carlsbad Caverns, next year barring a high plains blizzard. The one whole table 300 display will travel SW. Be sure to remind me about Christmas time..........

Thank you gentlemen for all the kind remarks . You gents are so encouraging . Yes, one fellow actually got mad because I refused to sell him my 307 . It took sometime explaining to him before he understood exactly what we were about . :)
Oregon, Good eye ! It is a paper, binder clip .Thats one of my simple tricks for keeping a very consistent sharpening angle . Change the clip= change the angle . The large 1" clip
is a 18-19, the half inch clip is 16-17* and the small one you noticed me using is a 15* =
to 2 stacked nickles . 300, there were like 2-3 tables right beside mine that show management removed, my guess is they didn't sell . Which were the only ones I noticed .
Those tables connected to those of the hot pants girl --a real crowd worker and boy they flocked in . My wife noticed the first day what was going on and gave me strict orders that if I looked or talked to her I'd loose my 100 series display of knives . I still have them . :) Buck gave out those cups to members at the 20yr. Reunion . Dang, I'm glad Tom was there as I didn't notice half those visits going on. DM

Thank you for the binder clip tip David! I am going to give that shot!

Hmmm, hot pants girl.... all I noticed was some great Buck knife displays :D

Thanks guys I had a ball meeting David and exploring his exhibit. It was a great two days and I learned a lot,David Martin did an outstanding job answering questions and promoting collecting Buck Knives. For example an older gentelman came to ask David about the Buck slipjoint that he has carried for years. He handed it to David and said it didn't snap closed good as it used to.David inspected his beloved knife and showed him that pocket lint had got in the liner up toward the pivot area.David removed the lint, cleaned it up for him and handed it back. That man was so happy that it once again had the snap of a new knife.Even better yet David told him his long pull knife was now a collectable.:D P.S.,I sure wish you guys were there.

Yes, he did that and I started getting red . But I've got a news flash--those girls don't give a second look to guys like us any more . They just cause heat sensors to malfunction in the room . ;) DM
